Domestic Short Hair-black - Medium - Young - Male - Cat - Blackb

Blackbeard from the Pirates of Raritan Bay litter rescued in October 2006 from a backyard in Perth Amboy at approximately six weeks old. Blackbeard had a serious mouth infection that cleared up without long-term physical damage. Due to the amount of handling needed for examinations and medication, Blackbeard is leery of people in normal situtations. Out of the blue though, Blackbeard will desire cuddling ... he'll sneak up on a person, perhaps give your fingers a little love bite, and that's the signal to start petting. Sometimes, Blackbeard can even be snuck up on and it's your turn to tell him it's time for petting - that's when he'll give you a resentful glare that sort of says "How dare you make me purr when I don't want to." Blackbeard has tested negatave for FIV/FeLV and is up to date on all of his shots. You can visit Blackbeard on adoption days at the Old Bridge Petco on Rt. 9 South and Ernston Rd. on Saturdays from 12-5.
