Tortoiseshell - Medium - Young - Female - Cat - Lizzy

Meet Lizzy, a lovely tortoiseshell cat who was rescued two years ago as part of a TNR (trap/neuter/release) effort. Once released, she never left the backyard in South Amboy that she was born in, and has tamed to such a degree that her rescuer was able to scoop her right up. Lizzys mother was rescued and adopted last year, and is now in a loving home, and we are thrilled to be able to offer the same for this beautiful, affectionate cat. She is now about 2 years old, spayed, up to date on vaccinations and completely vetted until June 2007. She is also negative for FIV/FELV. Lizzy has acclimated well indoors, and doesnt have any desire to go outside ever again. She is beautifully marked, and just as beautiful insideshe can be pet for hours and hours, purring all the while. She is evidently making up for lost time. A little shy at first, she will quickly acclimate to a gentle and nurturing homeshe has come SO far in a short time! Please help us give Lizzy the same thing her mother was lucky enough to havea home for life with caring and giving owners. You can see Lizzy during adoption day on Saturdays from 12 to 5 at the Petco Store on Rt. 9 South & Ernston Rd. in Old Bridge.
